Well the Dunlop tire test at DIS has wrapped up and I for one was really consumed by the whole thing. I spent a lot of time looking at the live updated lap times provided by the AMA timing and scoring. I also was busy watching AMAsuperbike.com and roadracingworld.com for pics and story updates. WOW! A lot has happened in the past 3 days.

Kawasaki has shown a huge improvement on the '04 ZX-6RR with Tommy Hayden consistently going faster than anyone else on a supersport 600.
The ZX-10R was putting in impressive times and speeds at the speedway as well. I think superstock will be a very exciting class this year. Wish I could say the same about Superbike.

It looks like Honda's new CBR1000RR with its HRC magic will be a great package for the superbike class. Seeing speeds over 190 mph straight out of the box is amazing! Ben Boz may have a shot at a championship this year. His competition may be his brother on the Duc!

Yamaha seems to have taken what they learned from the R6 and motogp and rolled it into the R1. They were turning superbike times on thier superstock bike. The Kawi was even lagging behind it unfortunatly. Competition in the superstock class should be fierce!

The low point of the test was Jason Disalvo's rear tire failure at over 170mph on the banking. WOW. It was good to hear he faired better than Ben Spies slide down the track. It'll be interesting to see what comes of the recent tire failures at the speedway.
